Pedagogy Lab Director

We are hiring a Pedagogy Lab Director to run and manage The Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies' new Pedagogy Lab!

The BBQ+ Pedagogy Lab<https://bbqplus.us4.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b8574c7a485f6c10957063c35&id=6e0e3b3998&e=013554b5d1> is a collaborative space where researchers, educators, and activists collectively create, share, and implement open educational resources that explore the intersections of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socio-economic status, and colonialism.

The Pedagogy Lab Director will be responsible for the successful leadership and management of the lab, including overseeing the development of equity-driven open educational resources (OER); organizing pedagogy workshops for educators on how to use OER in the classroom; connecting with activists and grassroots organizations to plan and execute an advocacy event series around Black, Indigenous, Ethnic, and Area Studies; and overseeing the pedagogy research fellowship program.

The ideal candidate should describe themselves as a key relationship builder, organizer, and education expert. They should have a record of organizing and policy change work; experience cultivating a network of activists, policymakers, institutions, and organizations to drive equity-driven educational practices; and familiarity with critical race, Indigenous, postcolonial, and/or queer theory.
This is a full-time, remote work position starting January 1st 2021. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience, starting at $80,000. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental health insurance; retirement program plan; and generous paid vacation.
