Cornell Visiting Lecturer in Science & Technology Studies, Spring 2020
The Department of Science & Technology Studies at Cornell University invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer for the Spring 2020 semester. The successful candidate will teach two courses. The first is a foundation introductory course “What is Science” (STS 2011), which introduces some central ideas in the field of STS and is aimed at students from any background. The second course taught would be “Computing Cultures” (STS 3561), which critically examines how computing technology and society shape each other.
A Masters degree is required; PhD is preferred in Science & Technology studies or a closely related field such as history or sociology of science, technology, or medicine. The successful candidate must also have demonstrated teaching ability.
