Dear Prof. Ravel,

My name is Eric Zuelow; I am chair of the Department of History and Philosophy at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.

We’ve had a late opening materialize in U.S. history and are looking for a recent Ph.D. or a talented ABD student to fill a 1-year position. We’re especially interested in applicants who do U.S. medical history, however that expertise is not absolutely necessary. The post will involve teaching both halves of a World History sequence (to 1500 in the fall; from 1500 in the spring), a two-part U.S. history survey, and an upper-division course of the successful candidate’s choice.

The ad is posted below and any questions can be directed to me. We will be looking at applications as they come in, moving as quickly as we can to fill the post.

All best,
Eric
