Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to ask for your help in recruiting a postdoc or a visiting fellow working on the history of amateurs in science (for ex. astronomy and meteorology), from the 19th to the 21st century. The candidate would join my team at the University of Geneva and integrate the projet “The Rise of Citizen Science: Rethinking Science and Public Participation<http://citizensciences.net/>”. The position will be open in February 2019 and last 18-24 months, with a salary up to $ 100,000 annually (life is expensive in Switzerland), depending on qualifications.
Do you know a former graduate student or colleague who might be interested in this position?
As a side note, we are setting up a panel for the HSS meeting in Utrecht (2019) on how amateurs, from the 18th to the 21st century, have constructed and made sense of their identity as amateur. If you are are interested in joining or know someone who is, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Many thanks in advance or your help.
Best wishes,
Bruno
