                        SCIENCE in SOCIETY PROGRAM, WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY
                                            TENURE-TRACK SEARCH, FALL 2017

The Science in Society Program at Wesleyan University seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor beginning July 2018, with substantive research and teaching interests in transnational studies of contemporary science, technologies, or medicine, and expertise in relevant empirical research methods. The Science in Society Program is an interdisciplinary program offering an undergraduate major in the history, philosophy and social studies of science, technology, and medicine, conjoined with course work in a science.

Wesleyan University is a highly selective liberal arts college with a two-course per semester teaching load and strong support for both research and teaching. Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Science and Technology Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, relevant area studies, or other relevant academic discipline, in hand at time of appointment is required to be hired as an Assistant Professor; a successful candidate may be hired as an Instructor if the candidate does not have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment, but will complete the Ph.D. within one year of hire.
