Dear colleagues,
(with my apologies for cross-postings)

An exciting new team is being created in Maastricht to study the role of technologies in how doctors learn the craft skills of their profession. Thanks to funding from the European Research Council<https://erc.europa.eu/funding-and-grants/funding-schemes/starting-grants>, three ethnographers and a historian will research this topic in Western and Eastern Europe, and West Africa. Two anthropologists have already started their PhD projects. We now invite applications for a historian to join our team.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a historian with a PhD in the history of medicine and/or technology (or related topic/field, such as sensing, media or education) to engage in a collaborative project, based in the beautiful city of Maastricht, in the Netherlands. The conditions are generous and there will be many opportunities for pursuing creative lines of enquiry.
