The Experimental College invites you to be a Visiting Lecturer for the Fall 2016 semester.

  *   Design undergraduate elective courses

  *   Explore interdisciplinary subjects

  *   Examine contemporary issues and ideas
  *   Use innovative teaching methods

  *   Teach evening classes

Advanced graduate students are always looking for opportunities to teach in their area of expertise. The Experimental College at Tufts University is a place where that can happen.

The comments that we consistently hear from the twenty-five instructors who teach each semester at the Experimental College go something like this:

"Being able to teach a course of my own design to highly motivated undergrads was a unique opportunity and a genuinely rewarding experience."

The ExCollege offers a full range of largely new courses every semester­ – on an elective basis – to Tufts undergraduates. Our courses are intended to provide an alternative to the traditional departmental curricula by presenting interdisciplinary or contemporary subjects. Classes are usually kept to less than twenty students and are highly discussion and participation oriented.

An applicant whose proposal is approved will become a Visiting Lecturer for the semester, will receive a stipend, and will have access to university facilities.
