> The successful candidate will hold a PhD in the history of science or a related field (obtained no longer than five years ago); and it is desirable, but not essential, that he or she will pursue a research project in one of the following main areas:

> - The history of the humanities (any period).
> - The history of the life- and human sciences in the 20th century.
> - Global/transnational history of science (including non-Western science).

> It is expected that candidates are able to conduct their own research, and fulfill their teaching duties, independently and from an interdisciplinary perspective. The position is initially limited to a period of three years; it may however be extended to up to six years.The possibility of pursuing a “Habilitation” is also available.
