Subject: Postdoc and Visiting PhD at Academia Sinica
The CEFC and its Taipei Branch based in Academia Sinica (Taiwan) encourages recent PhD graduates in all disciplines of the social sciences and current PhD students in the field of modern history to apply to the below programs:
Postdoctoral Fellows and Visiting Scholar/Student Programs at Academia Sinica (Taiwan)
now open for application - deadline 2 September / 31 August
Academia Sinica (AS), the most eminent national research institution in Taiwan, provides a well-developed research environment for about 600 postdoctoral fellows. Each year, AS offers a favourable research opportunity for both domestic and international postdoctoral researchers in the areas of mathematics and physical sciences, life sciences, humanities and social sciences at AS.
The following research funding programs are now open for application:
2014 First Session of the Postdoctoral Fellows Program at Academia Sinica
Postdoctoral Fellows Program at AS consists of Academia Sinica Postdoctoral Fellows and (Regular) Postdoctoral Fellows. Both fellowships provide US$ 23,830 to US$ 34,350 as base annual salary (the exact amount is determined by candidate’s qualification). Applicants need to find a principal investigator (PI) at AS to sponsor their application. A PI may sponsor as many postdoctoral fellows as he or she wishes. However, each project is limited to one applicant only.
Applying for the position of postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, applicants are required to submit a proposal specifying the aim, significance, background, methodology and anticipated accomplishment of their research project. Application proposals lacking consideration of these issues will be adversely affected.
