The Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy at Korea Advanced
Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) invites applications for three
tenure-track faculty positions in (1) regulatory science and law; (2) public
administration and/or NGOs; (3) urban studies and/or human geography. Each
position is scheduled to begin on February 1, 2012, but the starting date is
negotiable. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent)
degree in hand by that date.
We are seeking highly qualified candidates trained in sociology,
anthropology, political science, geography, public administration and
policy, urban studies, environmental studies, or STS, who can work in the
interdisciplinary setting. KAIST is a world-renowned science and technology
university located in Daeduck Science Town in South Korea and uses English
as the language of instruction. The successful candidate will be responsible
for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
To apply for the positions, please submit electronically a letter of
application describing research and teaching interests, CV, transcripts, and
copies of sample publications and/or dissertation chapters to Ms. Seung-yeon
Yang (tol-seungy at kaist.ac.kr). We will contact individual applicants after
the first round of review process to ask for three letters of recommendation
or other materials. Deadline for applications is November 1, 2011.
