Subject: Fwd: Tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level for the
Sociology Department, Wesleyan University
I am writing to alert you and the members of your section and/or association
to the tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the
Sociology Department at Wesleyan University. The job is described below and
is listed in the job bank of the American Sociological Association. In
order to attract the deepest pool of excellent candidates, we have extended
the deadline to September 30th. (The date had been September 15th).
Please encourage students to apply, especially those who have completed or
are near completing the requirements for the Ph.D. We are also eager to
receive applications from those who have a demonstrated record of teaching
excellence.
Finally-but most significantly-I ask that you help us recruit women and
candidates from historically underrepresented minority groups. The
Department of Sociology is very committed to deepening the diversity of our
department. I would be happy to discuss the position with any graduate
students who might consider applying for the position and /or might have
questions about Wesleyan and the Sociology Department.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Jonathan Cutler
