For the fourth consecutive year, ABC News is sponsoring the Student Video
Project at the annual convention of the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists
Association (NLGJA), which is being held in Miami this September.
Participating students will have a rare opportunity to work in an immersive
setting with network television journalists who will help them shoot, write,
edit and deliver polished packages that will be seen by the hundreds of working
members of NLGJA at the end of the convention.
Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible, and the program is open
to students of any sexual orientation.

The next featured career on mtvU's "The Opening"
Ever wonder what it would be like to work for the wireless technology
company behind all the cool things you can now do with your mobile
phone--like download and play music, take photos and shoot movies
clips, play online multiplayer video games and watch TV?
Together with mtvU and MonsterTRAK, QUALCOMM is giving you a glimpse
into the life of a recent college grad/new hire in a new episode of
The Opening.
To watch this episode on mtvU's Uber, visit
http://fw.monster.com/sp/107381a. To find similar careers and many
other challenging full-time and intern opportunities at QUALCOMM,
visit MonsterTrak at http://fw.monster.com/sp/107381b or Qualcomm

In addition to the mentorship and tutelage the students receive, the convention
also provides important networking opportunities. The three seniors from our
2004 programeach had a job in broadcasting within six months of graduation, due
in part to their participation in the Student Video Project. Their work - and
that of the 2005 class -speaks for itself.
