Abraxas is seeking undergrads and graduate students, mostly in Course 6 & Course
14.  They are attempting to fill full time permanent positions, but will need
seniors who are native born Americans. All employees must get a security

  The Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals is providing internship
opportunities to work with Environmental Agencies throughout the country.
Interns will be placed with the USEPA or other Governmental agencies dealing
directly with Air quality and or related environmental issues. This opportunity
is open to students majoring in science, engineering, planning, policy, law,
management, education or other related fields. All internships are ten weeks,
with a capstone project required. Each intern will be provided with a $4,000
salary for the ten week internship, along with travel and housing stipend where

Armenia.

  SUMMER RESEARCH INTERNSHIP
PALO ALTO RESEARCH CENTER
The researchers at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) invented
personal distributed computing, graphical user interfaces, the first
commercial mouse, bit-mapped displays, Ethernet, object-oriented
programming, laser printing, and many of the basic protocols of the
Internet. We are looking for undergraduate students of high academic and
technical achievement, interested in a summer internship in a research
environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
PARC's interests lie in the areas of Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, Math, Physics, Linguistics, Anthropology, and Sociology.
Students from any of these disciplines are encouraged to apply.
Selections are based on information contained in the student's
application and upon on-campus interviews in mid-February. We make our
hiring decisions by late-March. The program is small, encompassing about 12
interns on
average, and only students from UC-Berkeley, MIT, Cornell, and Stanford
are considered.

  The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab will have a number of
positions available for people completing undergraduate (and masters)
studies this summer with strong quantitative backgrounds (preferably
including some economics or statistics) and good people skills to help
administer and analyze the results of field based research on the best
ways to reduce poverty.
Most of the positions are in developing countries (India, Kenya, Peru,
Sierra Leone etc) and are well suited to people who either are
interested in working on issues related to global poverty or would
like the experience of having worked overseas in a very different
environment for one or two years. We also have a few openings for full
time research assistants and a policy writer in the US but for those a
background in economics and econometrics is more important.
