Position Description: Department Liaison, MIT OpenCourseWare Department Liaisons support the publication of materials from MIT's various departments, as well as building and maintaining relationships across the Institute. They assist faculty with the development or compilation of course materials for MIT OCW. It may also involve creating materials for use in digital learning systems such as Stellar or SloanSpace. For courses already in electronic form, this position will require the collection and assembly of any materials that are input into the MIT OCW production process, along with the research of citations and ownership for copyrighted objects. Department Liaisons serve as a key link throughout the course site production process between MIT faculty and MIT OCW. The position also entails other work, such as the design and implementation of special projects, file organization, site design and creation, and quality assurance.
