School History. LEC was founded in August 2000 by Michelle He XiangYing
andher husband Andrew Chen KaiYuan. Natives of Henan and Hunan provinces
respectively, they decided that Shanghai was the best place to realize
theirdream of establishing an English language training center founded on their
own teaching philosophy and principals. Andrew's study and teaching in
Canada led him to formulate his own theories about learning and teaching
foreign languages, which formed the basis for LEC's teaching methodology.
