February 6, Saturday, update, from Gay

You haven't heard from us in a while because Joe is doing well.   
We've had a few short bicycle rides.  Joe climbed his first hills  
yesterday, so the ride was shorter than usual.  He also walked a mile  
and a half a few days ago.  All systems seem to be working okay;  
fingers and toes crossed.  He's writing steadily.  He wants to be  
stronger than he is, but I think he's stronger every day.  Life  
usually seems almost back to normal.

He had a CT scan on Wednesday.  We probably won't know the results  
for another two weeks, when we visit the surgeons.

STARBOUND is out; he did a book signing here in Gainesville that was  
well-attended and fun and he didn't get too tired.
