Oct 9, Fri. Joe seems a little better.  They cranked his bed up to almost a sitting position to give him a chance to get used to that. May get him into a chair soon. They're not moving him out soon.  They're reducing the vein feeding and increasing the nose tube feeding, all good.  Also reduced the respirator a bit, tolerated so far.

Kelly the social worker came in and talked to him; when he responded she gushed about how good it was to finally meet him.  He grinned and made a kissing motion.  She said she'd tell his wife and he laughed.  She couldn't wait to tell me about it.

Went with Lore, Tim and Rusty to Jungle Jim's crazy grocery store.  What a place!  Love, Gay
