12/24 Thursday update, Christmas eve

Merry Christmas to everyone!  Joe felt pretty good all day.  He has  
to stay in the hospital over Christmas, but his noisy roommates have  
gone, mostly.  He'll have lots of company tomorrow, I think...

The family here has decided to put off Christmas morning until Joe  
can be here.  We had Christmas of 1968 in February 1969, waiting for  
him to return from Vietnam; we can do it again.  We hope we don't  
have to wait until February this time.
