*_tl;dr :_ Please respond to the MIT Graduate Housing Needs Survey
<https://mit.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_820cqAGqSrYkPPL> by October
5th to help MIT understand what types of graduate housing needs you
prefer and at what price! As an added bonus, participants will be
entered into a raffle to win $100 and $50 prizes! *
Dear graduate student,
The MIT Graduate Student Council needs your help to shape the future of
graduate student housing at MIT! Following up from our recent advocacy
efforts, the recently established Graduate Housing Working Group is
working to understand what types of housing MIT should provide and at
what price to address housing needs.
/We need to hear from all graduate students, whether living on or off
campus./ Please let us know your preferences by responding to the *MIT
Graduate Housing Needs Survey <http://bit.ly/gradhousing17> by Thursday,
October 5th *and*_help shape MIT's commitment for more graduate student
housing within the next few weeks._*
*The survey will be offering $100 and $50 prizes, with the odds of
winning increasing as participation goes up* (rising from 1.5% to 4.5%).
So help us gather data (and yourself win a prize) by encouraging all
your friends to participate in the survey!
It is /extremely important /that we receive as many responses as
possible, both for data purposes and /to show that graduate students
care about housing/. Now is the time to make an impact and help us
determine what future supply of grad student housing will look like.
If you have any questions about or issues with the survey, or if you
have housing-related feedback/thoughts not addressed in the survey,
please email gradhousing-input at mit.edu. Also, if your spouse or partner
wishes to respond to the survey separately, they can email
gradhousing-input at mit.edu, and we will generate a link for them.
Thank you!

/PS: This survey is a bit long (15-30min). Part of the reason for this
is its use of a rigorous an experimental design to figure out how
different housing attributes (e.g. room size, rent, distance from MIT)
are valued by students. The experimental design algorithm may generate
choice sets which will only consist of "bad" or unrealistic options for
the purpose of data-gathering. In each case, make the choice they most
prefer (or least dislike). You will have the chance in the follow-up
question to say if the one you chose is one you would actually be
interested in or not. Furthermore, you will be able to provide
additional information (such as single/family status) or give extra
comments near the end of the survey./
