Hey off-campus folks!


        To those getting this newletter for the first time, WELCOME! (Don't
delete it yet!) For those from previous years, a very warm welcome back. We
have finally received this year's list of off-campus students, and we are
happy to have all of you aboard.
         For those who don't know us, we (George and Jennifer) are your GSC
HCA Off-campus Co-chairs*. As those living in the graduate dorms get a dorm
officer and funding for events, we are the equivalent of that for you guys!
We send out this newsletter only ONCE a month, filled only with the tidbits
we feel are most relevant to you, the graduate off-campus community of MIT.
Oh, and FREE FOOD and FUN events that we put on, exclusively for you!
Really, it's probably the best mailing list to be on. Ever.
         For this year, we are trying something new. We'd like everyone
(PLEASE!) to fill out an annonymous form (Here:
http://goo.gl/forms/4QPAqh5OqN) . It is very short (6 questions) and will
help us cater our future events to you! As an incentive, we will randomly
select 10 people to receive a "attend any event" pass - something we've
never done before! Basically, if you win this, you only have to email us
directly for any ONE of our awesome events that you'd like to attend, and
you would be guaranteed a spot! :)
         Since we had some technical difficulties with this email, we will
have two events in the next week! Look at the list of events and sign up
soon, or they will have past before you know it! Starting next month, we
should be back on our regular mailing schedule, so expect to hear from us
again within the first two weeks of November :) We already have lots of
awesome events in wait!

Description: Whether you're a meat lover, vegetarian, or just a foodie,
Life Alive is a great place for a meal! Everything they serve is
vegetarian, with a great selection of raw and vegan foods, yet, the food is
wholesome and delicious. If you're one of the 12 randomly selected to join
us, we will cover the cost of an entree and a smoothie, which are awesome!
This has been a very popular venue for our OC-events in the past, so don't
miss it!

Description: Happy Halloween! Have all the fun you want on Friday gorging
on candy, drinking with friends, or shivering with fear at home, then come
join us on Saturday to recoup at Zoe's, a small diner located between
Central and Harvard Square. They have delicious breakfast items, such as
the famous Waffle Slammer, potato scramble, home-made corned beef, and
thick, cinnamon-y french toast. For those in the mood for something
heavier, they also have a great selection of lunch/dinner items.
We will select randomly select 15 participants to brunch with us, and cover
up to $15 of the cost of the meal (sorry, no alcohols - mimosa's included!).
