Dear Fellow Off-campus Grad Students,

We have one last off-campus dinner before the orientation quiet period.
There are many other announcements we've been asked to pass along as well.

The matinee event is a trial. If it is popular, we can easily offer tickets
to more things like it again. Let us know what you think about off-campus
life at MIT and your ideas for off-campus events.

Your off-campus co-chairs,
Kevin and Kelsey

All MIT grad students are welcome. Higher priority will be given to new
incoming grad students.

A few things to note:

Due to limited seating, **you MUST travel to and from at the times
specified for your shift. You may not pick a return bus time that is not
listed in your shift.**

We will stick closely to the specified travel times (as far as traffic
allows). We will meet up at the front desk of Edgerton 15 minutes before
each departure to IKEA and at a specified point at the Ikea parking lot 15
minutes before the departure to Edgerton. PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR YOUR RETURN
BUS!! The bus WILL NOT WAIT for you.

We will be taking a school bus, so for safety reasons, *NOTHING can be put
in the aisle*. The capacity of the bus is 50 people, but we will only have
25 passengers, so the things you buy must be able to fit into the seat next
to you. If you plan to buy oversized items, you can also ship them, but
please check out at least ONE hour in advance to fill out the paperwork for
shipping.

IKEA is a big store, so check out www.ikea.com before the trip to maximize
your shopping efficiency! You can find the products you want ahead of time
on their website, check product availability at our local store (MA,
Stoughton), and even write down the aisle and bin number. We STRONGLY
RECOMMEND that you do some online shopping in order to make the most of
your time at the store.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at
eh-officers at mit.edu.

This event is sponsored by Edgerton House, Ashdown House and the GSC
Funding Board.

*9. Recycling info for City of Cambridge*

Greetings Students Living Off-Campus in Cambridge,

Recycling is easy and mandatory in Cambridge. You can reduce your trash by
at least 50% to help protect the environment and save the City money. If
you live in Cambridge but not in university housing, you likely have
Cambridge curbside recycling service, and this email is for you!

Most residences have recycling bins on wheels. You can place clean bottles,
cans, paper and cardboard in the same bin. Here are details on what can go
in the recycling bin <
http://www.cambridgema.gov/theworks/ourservices/recyclingandtrash/curbsidecollections/curbsiderecyclingbasics.aspx>
. Download our flyer or full Recycling and Trash Guide here <
