Hey Off-Campus Grads,

The (FREE) dinner with campus police is tonight at 6pm in 33-116. Come 
meet some of the police you see around campus, ask any safety questions 
you may have, and learn safety tips.

1. Dinner with MIT Police
Thursday, April 14, 6pm
Building 33-116

The off-campus subcommittee has arranged an informal dinner with the 
Campus Police Thursday at 6pm. Come enjoy a FREE non-pizza dinner and 
talk with MIT police officers. Find out what services the campus police 
offer to grad students and helpful hints about living off-campus. Ask 
any question that you might have at this informal dinner. Feel free to 
invite labmates and friends.

This event is open to off-campus graduate students and their 
spouses/partners/families and friends.

2. This coming Friday (4/15), we'll be celebrating this year's freedom 
from income tax returns! We will have champagne and comfort food to 
drown out tax woes, as well as celebratory ice cream for dessert. Also, 
we'll be featuring the movie "The Untouchables," which focuses on 
capturing tax evaders. Though this is a new feature this year, it 
continues a tradition of Edgerton movie events open to the grad student 
community.

*As always, we ask that you help protect the environment by bringing 
your own plates and utensils.

3. The Egg Drop!
When: Sunday, April 17, Noon - 2pm
Where: Meet at the Lawn next to Tang Hall Dorm at Noon

- Design & build a contraption to fly a raw egg safely from the top of 
Tang Hall to the ground.
- Free pizza, drinks, and materials provided!
- Prizes for top 5 winners!

4. Go-Karting at F1 Boston in Braintree (http://www.f1boston.com/)
When: Saturday, April 23th, Noon - 5pm
Where: Meet at Sidney-Pacific Dorm at Noon if transportation needed

- F1 Boston is high speed, high intensity go-karting at its best, and 
the GSC is subsidizing a trip!
- With Transportation: $30 for MIT grad students, $35 for guests
Without Transportation: $25 for MIT grad students, $30 for guests
- Each graduate student may buy up to 1 guest ticket and both must have 
valid driver's license (foreign licenses accepted)

5. MIT families visit the Drumlin Farm (open to all MIT graduate families)
Saturday, May 07, 2011
Time: 9:30a–3:30p
Location: E-55

This will be a very fun trip for children and families!
"Enjoy a change of pace at Drumlin Farm, where you and your family can 
explore a real working farm and a wildlife sanctuary all in one day. 
There is so much to do at Drumlin Farm. Kids of all ages love visiting 
the animals on our farmyard, trying on their green thumbs in our 
learning garden, and riding on our hay wagon. "

We will leave Eastgate at 9:30am on Saturday May 7th, and come back at 
around 1:30-2pm
The farm is a short drive by bus, 30-45mins. If enough people from 
Westgate sign up, we will try to pick them up from Westgate.

Transportation and Admission are covered.
COST: $6 for adults. $4 for children (2-12 years) and seniors. Free for 
children under 2.
