Hi Off-Campus Grads,
I hope you are surviving the heat wave. Off-campus has two events coming 
up next week that are sure to fill up QUICK. Make sure to RSVP early if 
you would like to attend. The first is a murder mystery, see if you've 
got the stuff to figure out "who dunnit". The second is a dinner at 
Koreana in Central Sq.

1. "Who dunnit" theatre show in Boston -- Shear Madness

Shear Madness presents a murder mystery which the audience helps to 
solve, see https://www.shearmadness.com/
Hilarious and with an excellent cast, the show has great reviews on 
yelp.com and is a Boston favorite. Off-campus is subsidizing tickets for 
a group on July 15th. Located downtown in the theater district, you can 
walk from the Downtown Crossing stop (red line) or Boylston stop (green 
line).

WHEN: 8PM, on July 15th Thursday (arrive by 7:45pm to pick up tickets 
from Evelyn)

2. Off-Campus dinner at Koreana Restaurant (http://www.koreanaboston.com/)
When: 7:00 PM, Saturday, July 17th
Who: off-campus grad students and their guests (max 1 guest/student)
Note: registration required; meals subsidized up to $25 per person

We'll be having an off-campus dinner at Koreana Restaurant in 
Cambridge!  With a wide selection of Korean cuisine as well as a great 
Korean BBQ, Koreana is a favorite of eclectic Bostonians and visitors 
alike.  MIT grad students can attend and bring up to one guest by 
registering here.  Meals will be subsidized by the GSC Off-campus 
Subcommittee up to $25 per person (this is enough for most Korean BBQ 
dishes - see the menu of BBQ dishes). The dinner starts at 7:00 PM 
sharp; the restaurant is easily accessible by T at the Central Square 
red line stop, or on the #1 bus.

THIS EVENT IS ONLY FOR MIT GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO LIVE OFF CAMPUS.  If 
you live in an MIT dormitory, you are not eligible to attend (unless you 
are the guest of an off-campus student).

3. SP Summer Beach Party
Where: SP Courtyard
When: July 10, 5-9pm

Come join us for the hottest block party to hit MIT this summer:
Sidney-Pacific's Summer Beach Party! Water fights, slip 'n' slides, 
smoothies, and a DJ -- what more could you ask for? There'll be a BBQ 
and desserts too, so come on and join the fun!

4. The next Asdhown brunch will be held on July 11 in the Hulsizer room. 
We will start serving as usual at 12:00. Join us for hot food, ice cream 
and fresh fruit. You will also get a chance to catch up with your 
friends and meet up with your fellow graduate students.

Please bring your own utensils and plates to help cut down on the waste. 
You will also get a chance to enter the raffle for gift certificates to 
Toscanini's.

5. Hope you are all having a great summer, and are enjoying a break from 
Boston's perpetual winter! To make it even better, the THRA has planned 
a BBQ for next saturday, July 17th. Come out and enjoy delicious food, 
fruits and drinks! Sports equipment such as frisbees and soccer balls 
will be provided.

PS: We would be glad to have 2 experienced people volunteer to help set 
up the grills.
