Hi Off-Campus Grads,
Sorry for multiple emails this week, but I wanted to share some more 
events occurring before the term starts.

2. Ashdown will be running buses to and from IKEA on Friday, 4-Sep. IKEA 
is a household and furniture store great for buying cheap, good-looking 
things for your dorm room.

Originally this trip was open to residents only, but since we have a few 
spaces left that would otherwise be wasted, we would like to offer them 
to other non-resident graduate students who might want to come along.

The buses depart and return at Ashdown House.

There are 3 groups going:
Option A: Departing at 9AM, return departure from IKEA at 12 OR 2:00
Option B: Departing at 11AM, return departure from IKEA at 2 OR 4:00
Option C: Departing at 1PM, return departure from IKEA at 4 OR 6:00

You MUST be promptly on-time for one of your return bus options. Due to 
space constraints please do not plan on taking a different return bus.

If you are interested in joining, please sign-up (MIT certificates 
req'd) at

and come to the Ashdown lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled departure.

3. Orientation Olympics
THIS SAT 3-9 PM
Outside Johnson Gym
Events will include soccer, track, frisbee, volleyball, badminton, and 
Chinese
mini-games.
Afterwards: FREE Chinese Buffet and great prizes!

4. Wild Wild Northwest Dance Party
When:  Saturday, September 12 from 9pm to 1am
Where: Ashdown House, Hulsizer Room

Come to the Wild Wild Northwest and dance the night away at this 
Western-themed party!  We will have free food and snacks.  Drinks will 
be available for purchase at the Thirsty Ear Pub.

Event audience: The good,the bad, and the nerdy! (Open to entire MIT 
Community)
