Hi Off-Campus Grads,
I hope the end of the term is going well for you, it will be summer 
soon! Off-Campus has two events coming up that have been favorites in 
the past. Tomorrow (Saturday) we are going to tour the Harpoon Brewery 
and then on Thursday we are having a social at Flat Top Johnny's. Hope 
to see you at both.

1. Harpoon Brewery Tour!!!
Saturday, May 9
Meet at Inbound Kendall T station at 11:30am (upstairs/outside if good 
weather, down by the gates if poor weather).

Off-campus is planning a trip to the Harpoon Brewery in Boston. We will 
meet at the Kendall T stop. Join other off-campus grads for this fun 
tour. Transportation and tour fee will be fully-subsidized. No RSVP 
necessary, but make sure to bring an age ID if you would like to sample.

This even is open to all off-campus graduates and their 
spouses/partners. All others are welcome to join, but will not be

2. Tang Hall Egg Drop
We are having an egg drop competition noon-3PM this Sunday on Tang 
lawn/roof.
Teams will design & build flying vehicles to get a raw egg safely to the
ground.  Materials, free pizza, and great prizes provided.  This is a 
GSC event
open to all grad students.

3. Two Dollar Tuesday
Indian food (chicken tikka marsala, tandoori chicken, mixed veggies and 
saag paneer) for $2/person, inexpensive cash bar

NEW DEAL: Tables with 6 or more people remaining after 7:00 PM get free 
drink tickets.

When: Tuesday, May 12th, 6:00-8:00 PM; tickets on sale NOW at

4. Off-Campus Social
Flat Top Johnny's - One Kendall Square
Thursday, May 14, 5-7pm

Join other Off-Campus grads at Flat Top Johnny's for free pool and 
appetizers. We'll have a few pool tables reserved and appetizers will be 
plentiful. Ask the pool desk if you can't find us, they'll point you 
toward our tables.

5. Acoustic BBQ
Friday, May 15, 4:30 - 7:30 PM
Stata Center (Amphitheater, TSMC Lobby, Forbes Café, Student Street)

Acoustic BBQ is one of the largest socializing events offered by the GSC 
in a school year. At the end of every school year, we provide an 
relaxing environment with a great amount of food and amazing music from 
the great band in the Boston area. In this event, we invite more than 
700 people to come to have fun with other fellow students. Please come 
to Stata Center to have fun with your friends before the summer time!

6. Rent Monkey Off-Campus Housing Website

Rent Monkey is an off-campus housing website that tracks rental 
information provided by MIT students for MIT students. Rent Monkey 
catalogs listings and sublets as well as past rents and descriptions of 
residences. It enables current off-campus students to find roommates and
those on the market to contact landlords directly instead of incurring 
large realtor fees. Rent Monkey is brought to you by the Graduate 
Student Council and the Off-Campus Housing Office.
