3. Discussion on graduate women support
Time: 8/6 (Thursday) 6pm (dinner will be served, RSVP to sidney_t at mit.edu)
Location: GSC office (50-220)

As you may have heard, the position for Women's programs and support
is now eliminated and the function of student support service
originally under Division of Student Life (DSL) will be restructured
into other existing/new divisions.

While disappointed by these decisions made under current financial
constraints, we feel that it's essential to have a conversation with
the higher administration, such as the dean of student life, at this
point to reemphasize and ensure that graduate women support is not
weaken or put aside. With support from the Graduate Student Council
(GSC), we would like to invite everyone who is interested to
participate in this following pre-meeting to gather ideas and
formulate what graduate women needs.

The current plan is to arrange direct conversation between the group
and the DSL administration and come up with a proposal afterwards.
Please help us spread the word to as many people as possible. (event
not limited to women)
