Hi Off-Campus Grads,
Here is a list of some upcoming events. Be sure to RSVP or buy tickets
early to the brunch and Two Dollar Tuesday as they fill up/sell out quickly.

1. Off-Campus Brunch
Time: 11:00am this Sunday Nov 16th
Restaurant: Tavern in the Square
Neighborhood: Central Square
The GSC Off-Campus Subcommittee will be subsidizing part of brunch for
off-campus graduates and their spouses/partners/family. The seating is
limited to 20 people, which fill up quickly, so RSVP ASAP. Priority is
given to graduates who have not yet attended a brunch this year. To

2. Harvard-MIT 80's Party
Saturday, Nov 15, 9:30pm-12:30am
Dudley House Dining Hall, Harvard
Whip out the mousse, bring 'em leg warmers, and get those acid-washed
jeans out of your closet! Come re-live the 80's at the Harvard-MIT
party @ Harvard! We'll play your favorite tunes from Duran Duran,
Beastie Boys, Madonna, The Police, Guns N' Roses, Bruce Springsteen,
R.E.M., and many more!
Open to all Harvard and MIT graduate students and their guests. Max 2
guests per student. Admission is free. Drinks are $2. Proper ID required
for alcohol.

3. The Next Ashdown & SP Brunch will be held on Sunday 11/16/2008 in the
Hulsizer Room at 12:00pm. It is sponsored by the Graduate Student
Office. This will be the last brunch at Ashdown House during the Fall
semester. Don't miss out the last chance to enjoy the good time with us!
The food will be very different from any previous brunch; you will know
what I've meant when you come. Please bring your own plates and utensils.

4. Dessert Social

Sidney-Pacific Multipurpose Room
Join us for one of the final SP social events of the semester. Come
socialize over free desserts! There will also be live music.

5. Two Dollar Tuesday
Tuesday, November 18th at 6:00 PM
Morss Hall (first floor of Walker Memorial)
Tickets on sale NOW at: http://gsc.mit.edu/tdt
Italian dinner and desserts for $2/person, adult beverages for
$2/person; theme is entrepreneurship, with Prof. Ed Roberts of
Sloan and alumni entrepreneurs. Open to graduate students and up to one
guest per student, and children are free.
No guarantee for dinner after 6:30 PM. Bring 21+ age ID if purchasing a
drinking ticket.

6. A Taste of Scotland
When: Tuesday, November 25th, 6:00-8:00 PM
Where: Morss Hall (1st floor of Walker Memorial)
Tickets: $10 for MIT graduate students, $10 for guests (max of 1
guest/student)
Featuring 2 hours of tastings of the Glenlivet scotch
whisky. Includes:
- tastings of The Glenlivet scotch whisky (12, 15, 16, 18, and 21 year
varieties)
- indoor golf driving and putting practice
- appetizers
- gift bags
