Happy New Years Off-Campus Grads,
I hope everyone is having a nice break. If you are around MIT for IAP, here
are some upcoming events. Keep a lookout for an off-campus bowling trip
toward the end of IAP or first thing next term.

1. Rape Aggression Defense Training Class
2. Wrentham Outlet Mall Trip - Jan. 12

1. Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Training Class
When: 2 different sessions will be run. An afternoon session will be held
Noon-2pm on Jan. 8, 10, 11, 14, 18, and 23*. The class on the 23 will meet
5:30-7:30pm. The evening session will meet 5:30-7:30pm on Jan. 7, 9, 10, 14,
16, 17. 
Where: All classes will meet in the Student Center (W20)

This 12 hour course provides basic information on personal safety,
awareness, risk reduction and avoidance. RAD teaches practical defensive
techniques that require no special skills. This is employed as women learn
to be more aware of their surroundings. RAD also offers the opportunity to
test these learned skills on a real person during a simulated attack.
	
Class fee to cover materials, is $20, payable to MIT, which must be paid
within THREE DAYS of registration. Registrants who cancel less than 48
business hours prior to class will not be eligible for a refund. Attendance
is limited to the first 14 women with payment. PE credits are available for
students.

2. Westgate is organizing a shopping trip to Wrentham Outlet Mall.
It will be on Saturday Jan. 12th from 10am to 5pm.

A bus will pick up us at Westgate at 10am and we will be back at Westgate at
5pm. (So we will be in the mall for around 4 hours.) And the bus will be
there during the day so we can put our shopping bags in the bus.
