1. July General Council Meeting and DAPER Reps Q&A
Wed July 11th, 5pm-7pm in 50-220

The monthly General Council Meeting of the GSC will be on Wednesday, July
11th, 5-7pm in 50-220.  Food will be served at 5pm, and the meeting starts
at 5:30pm. The GCM is open to the entire MIT Community.

DAPER Reps Tim Moore and Dan Martin will be on hand for Q&A on the Summer
Fee.

2. Shakespeare in the Commons
Thursday, July 26 6:30pm
Bring a blanket and hangout on the commons enjoying FREE Shakespeare. This
year "A Midsummer Night's Dream" will be performed. The performance starts
at 8:00pm, but we will be meeting at 6:30 to get decent seats and to enjoy
FREE Greek food. Please RSVP to jtc at mit.edu by Monday July 23 if you plan to
attend so we can get enough food.

This event is open to spouses/partners and children. Sponsored by GSC
Off-campus Subcommittee.

3. Summer Beach Trip - July 29
More details to come, but at least part of your transportation will be
covered.

4. Six Flags Trip
Sat. Aug. 4, 2007

Looking for thrills this summer? Join GSC and your friends at Six Flags and
Hurricane Harbor on Sat. Aug 4 for a fun-filled day of roller coasters,
water rides, entertainment, shows, and food. 

Ticket info: 
With Transportation: $20 for students, $25 for guests
Without Transportation: $15 for students, $20 for guests
Tickets go on sale beginning Monday July 23 from 2-5pm at the GSC office
(Walker Memorial, 50-220) and continue for the next two weeks from 2-5pm.
Each MIT graduate student and post-doc will be allowed one guest. Please
bring your MIT ID when you purchase tickets. 

Transportation Info:
Buses will leave Sidney Pacific at 10am and arrive at Six Flags at noon 
Buses will leave Six Flags at 8pm and return to Sidney Pacific at 10pm

5. Ashdown summer concert
Aug 8th, Ashdown House

Don't hide your musical talents! Showcase them at our upcoming Ashdown
summer concert on Aug 8th, followed by a wine and cheese reception.  Anyone
affiliated with MIT or their guests are encouraged to participate. If you
would like to perform, email Chris Kish at ckish at mit.edu.
