Hi Off-campus Grads,

As you may remember (some have to go way back), the week before classes
start is orientation for the new graduate students. There are many fun
events and you are invited to some of them, so check them out:

The off-campus students are running the orientation Labor Day BBQ (Sept. 3,
5-8pm). We still need volunteers to purchase food, barbeque, and clean-up.
Please email me (jtc at mit.edu) if you can help. A great chance to meet new
grad students.

6. DAPER offers a SCUBA course scheduled mid day for graduate students,
September 11-October 23: TR 1p-3p at the Z Center. The cost is $350 that is
