Dear off-campus grads,

We will be having two FREE events in the next few weeks.  Please read below to
find out about them.

Event #1: personal finance discussion with free non-pizza dinner (RSVP
requested)

We will be hosting a personal finance discussion with a representative from the
MIT Federal Credit Union.  He will discuss the following topics:
- the difference between a traditional IRA, a Roth IRA, and a 401(k) plan
- ETFs and mutuals funds
- stocks, bonds, and CDs
- investing timelines
- how to invest in grad school, as you transition to work, and for retirement

This workshop will include dinner (not pizza).  The speaker will also take any
questions you have about personal finance.

The event will begin at 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 12th in the GSC office
(50-220, second floor of Walker Memorial) and will conclude around 7:00 PM. 
Food will be served at 6:00.  PLEASE RSVP so enough food will be ordered (just
reply to this email).

Spouses and partners are welcome to attend.

Event #2: free chocolate tasting (no RSVP needed)

The off-campus subcommittee, Spouses&Partners at MIT, and the Postdoctoral Scholars
at MIT will be hosting a free chocolate tasting on Saturday, April 14th,
beginning at 2:00 PM in the Penthouse in the Eastgate graduate dorm.

There will be about 50 pounds of fine chocolate as well as information about the
chocolates so you may be informed about what you are tasting.  Representatives
from Boston chocolatiers will also be present to answer questions.  This event
is first-come, first-served, so you do not need to RSVP.

Spouses, partners, and children are welcome to attend.
