[Gsc-hca-offcampus] Giving Tree 2006

Off-campus grads,

The MIT Giving Tree is organizing a holiday gift drive for needy children in the
Cambridge and Boston area.  I thought we could try to contribute some gifts from
the off-campus grads.  Typical gifts are about $10-25, and we would be provided
with a list of possible gifts to get.  It looks like we would get gifts for a
group called Bridge Over Troubled Water (a center for homeless teens).

We were thinking of doing the shopping the weekend of the 16th.  Let us know if
you would like to help with that, or just give money to get a gift.  We could
really use shoppers but if you can't make it, monetary donations of *any* size
would be appreciated.  We can pick up cash/checks from you anywhere on campus -
we will come to you (how easy is that?).  We just humbly request that you commit
to either shopping or a donation by tomorrow evening.  Also, let us know if you
have a car and would be able to drive.

Please email by Thursday (12/7) evening (8pm) so we can figure out how many
gifts to sign up for.
