Hi HCA members,

Here's a recap of some of the topics we discussed:

  *   Graduate Life Series - We are planning a Graduate Life Event Series covering a variety of topics relating to graduate student wellness, which we would like to host in collaboration with the dorms. Our initial meeting to coordinate this effort will take place next Thursday October 3rd at 8 am in Maseeh Hall. If you'd like to be the point of contact for your dorm, let us know and come to our meeting! We have resources/speakers, and just need a bit of coordination to make these events happen.
  *   "New" Eastgate - You can find the information we discussed about the new Eastgate/Graduate Tower/Site 4 at the Capital Projects page<http://capitalprojects.mit.edu/projects/kendall-square-site-4>.
  *   HCA Bylaws - We discussed some modifications to the current HCA bylaws (attached) to make them more specific about members and operating procedures. I hope to present an updated bylaws document for a vote at a future meeting (and will collect feedback before that happens).

Our next HCA meeting will be Wednesday October 9th at 6 PM. At this meeting, we will have the Graduate Housing Implementation Team discuss their current work and goals. They hope to collect feedback from graduate students and dorms on the changes to the housing allocation process. We hope all dorm representatives will attend the next meeting and provide their feedback to the team.
