Hi EAB Members,
MIT's second annual Day of Action will be held at the Stata Center on
Tuesday, April 17th from 10 am - 8 pm, and there are many sessions that
look like they would be of interest to everyone on EAB.
To highlight a few:
The Boston-area Affordability and Displacement Crisis
Science Advocacy 101 - From interest to action
Open Access: How you can help make the world's scholarly works available to
all
Remote Activism in Electoral Politics Workshop
Perils for Democracy
The Science of Fake News
Here is the full description of the event and the link. Please share this
with your subcommittee members or anyone you think would be interested!
Thanks,
Sarah
We are thrilled to announce MIT’s second annual Day of Action, to be held
at the Stata Center on Tuesday, April 17, from 10am to 8pm. The Day of
Action is a large-scale grass-roots civic engagement and action event
devoted to the political, economic, and social challenges facing us today.
The event features over 30 sessions (https://www.dayofaction.mit.edu/events)
on topics ranging from ethics and truth, education and inclusivity, perils
for democracy, immigration, science advocacy, open access, housing,
mitigating technological risk, and more. The event is free and open all
day to the general public. More information is available at the event’s
website:
https://dayofaction.mit.edu
The MIT Day of Action is open to all, and aims to represent the full
diversity of our community. We are made stronger by open, respectful
dialogue and the exchange of ideas from the widest variety of intellectual,
religious, class, cultural, and political perspectives.
