Also, find below the recap of the GSC General Council meeting last
Wednesday. Emily, Marzyeh, Tiky, Wenjun and I gave a presentation on the
Childcare Fund proposal. I am very pleased to report that it was really
well received. As the proposed fund will take a large part of the GSC
budget, the GSC executive officers felt that it is important to give
everyone time to think about it before voting. It will then be voted on in
the April meeting.

We will talk more about the Childcare Fund, among other interesting topics,
in our meeting next Wednesday, so please join us.

A *huge* thank you to all of you that were able to join us this Wednesday
for the March General Council Meeting. Though the meeting time did go
significantly over, I am particularly proud of the impressive ground we
covered. In addition to hearing a bold new proposal for creating a childcare

voted to rescope the GSC

$29,000 -- $27,000 of which will go *directly* back into the hands of
graduate students in the forms of event funding and travel grants.

1. Nominations for GSC Executive Officer positions are now open! Please
nominate yourself or your colleague by emailing the GSC Vice
President<gsc-vice-president at mit.edu>!
A second (and accept) will also be required through email.

help us gauge opinion on 401K's and student investment education!
