Please join us for a lively and informative question and answer session devoted to a number of important financial and family concerns shared by the MIT graduate student community. We are pleased to present David Cuthbert, SM 94, currently working as a financial services professional with New York Life.

Among the topics we’ll discuss:

- How do I protect my family against the devastating financial consequences of unforeseen tragedy?
- My family is on a limited budget. What are my most affordable options?
- How do I safeguard my income from losses due to a disability?
- How can I consolidate old 401k or IRA accounts from previous employers?
- What is the difference between a will, a living trust and a health care proxy?
- What are some non traditional ways to invest, to legally shelter growth assets from income and capital gains taxes?
- What are the pros and cons of 529 plans and other college savings accounts?

Please feel free to raise any additional questions that may be on your mind. If you'd prefer, you can jot down questions ahead of time, and submit them to David at the event, or email them to gsc-vp at mit.edu
