From gsc-hca at MIT.EDU Fri Jun 10 09:08:54 2005 From: gsc-hca at MIT.EDU (GSC-HCA Chair) Date: Fri, 10 Jun 2005 09:08:54 -0400 Subject: [Gsc-hca-childcare-anno] Child care article in GSN Message-ID: <6.2.1.2.2.20050610083843.02a0ad28@po11.mit.edu> Hi families, You may be interested to know that the GSN (Graduate Student News), published by the graduate student council, has a featured article about child care in the most recent edition. This publication is widely read by graduate students and administration. Although the article per se does not actually improve the state of child care on campus, it does publicize the issue so that students who may not have been aware about family issues can learn about them. If you're interested, pick up a copy in Lobby 7 or Westgate (the distributors did not put any copies in Eastgate because they didn't know where it was, but they will next time) or look at the online edition: http://web.mit.edu/gsc/www/news-events/gsn/2005_06_june/GSN2005-06-web.pdf Be on the lookout for upcoming announcements: - Free Summer BBQ event hosted by Boston club will include carnival attractions including popcorn, spin art, and a moonwalk for kids and adults! - New match-up database will give families the opportunity to find other families who want to share child care or live off-campus in the same apartment complex or house Andr?a Schmidt Housing and Community Affairs Chair From aews at MIT.EDU Wed Jun 15 13:26:46 2005 From: aews at MIT.EDU (=?iso-8859-1?Q?Andr=E9a?= Schmidt) Date: Wed, 15 Jun 2005 13:26:46 -0400 Subject: [Gsc-hca-childcare-anno] Off-campus family event Message-ID: <6.2.1.2.2.20050615132318.02a88de8@po11.mit.edu> This message is forwarded from the off-campus subcommittee chair.
