RISE
This update is also posted as an op-ed on Medium<https://rise4mit.medium.com/rise-update-on-guaranteed-transitional-funding-211a2bd67ebc> and on the RISE website<https://www.rise4mit.com/updates> — please share it with your friends and coworkers!
We are pleased to announce that we have made significant progress on a key demand of the RISE campaign. We will soon have guaranteed transitional funding<https://www.rise4mit.com/demands-section-3> for all students across MIT who wish to leave an unhealthy advising relationship.
Department and Classroom Inclusion
Last semester was our first semester trying out the bi-weekly conduit meet-ups/discussions. Each meeting focused on separate DEI topics such as graduate application assistance programs, graduate admissions, and diversity officers/committees. They were all really wonderful, informative, and helpful! If you have any comments and/or feedback about our conduit meetings or ideas for future discussions, please let us know! (send feedback/ideas to Erica Salazar ericasal at mit.edu<mailto:ericasal at mit.edu>). Stay tuned for announcements regarding future conduit meetings, they will be starting up again soon!
Student Life
Come celebrate the women run Start-ups at MIT/Wellesley with us! The event is going to be educational, celebrational and inspirational. Network with Start-up teams, get advice from an amazing panel and learn about resources to help launch your business. Looking forward to seeing you on International Women's Day 2021.
