Building Healthy Workplaces
When: Thu 8th April, 7 PM to 8 PM
Join Graduate Womxn at MIT (gwaMIT) and Healthy Masculinities to discuss the ways that workplace practices should change to reduce harms to women and other marginalized identities, and the roles that men can play in bringing about these changes. We will hear practical tips from scholar and educator Duane de Four and discuss real-life scenarios in small interactive groups. Bring a friend, labmate, or partner (including non-MIT affiliates) -- men are especially welcome to attend! Dinner will be reimbursed for the first 30 sign-ups. She has discussed race, feminism, education, food politics, police violence, tech, and pop culture at institutions and universities across the country.

  *   Provide mentorship outside the lab and work with a team of Pod Leaders to facilitate a positive research experience for ~60 summer interns.
  *   Receive a stipend of $3878 for 10 weeks (12 hours/week; 9 weeks summer program + 1 week training)
  *   Commit 12 hours per week from June 6 - August 7, 2021
