1. <i><u>Join the GradRat Committee<br><br>
</u></i>GradRat - Official MIT Graduate Ring Committee<br><br>
The GradRat committee, part of the GSC, will work over the year to
promote <br>
the ring through many events using its own marketing budget. The
tasks of <br>
the committee are:<br><br>
Artistic:<br>
- Maintain the department/program icons<br>
Events:<br>
- "Premiere" during Orientation (introduce the
GradRat to new students)<br>
- Delivery events<br>
- Ring ordering days (mostly taken care of by Balfour)<br>
- A $20K+ budget<br>
- Maintain the website of the GradRat<br>
Rewards:<br>
- The ring committee gets discounts on their own
GradRat<br><br>
We need at least 3, preferably 5, members in the committee!<br>

1.<i> <u>The Hidden Jewels of our Community - Annual Art
Show<br><br>
</u></i> Open Viewing: Thursday, April 22, 6-9 p.m. <br>
Bush Room - 10-105 (Donations requested at the door)<br><br>
Supported by a graduate student life grant<br>
Brought to by spouses&partners@mit<br><br>
- Meet the artists<br>
- View and purchase their work<br>
- Participate in the silent auction & raffle<br>
- Enjoy light refreshments & entertainment<br><br>
This juried art exhibit will feature the work of over 20 graduate<br>
student artists and their spouses and partners. Proceeds will
support<br>
next year's show and RAW (Raw Art Works), a nonprofit youth arts<br>
organization

If you can't make the opening on the 22nd, the exhibit will be open<br>
all day on April 23.<br><br>
