(incoming international students) in order to help them settle down more
smoothly.

- Citizen Schools is a national nonprofit that partners with middle schools to
expand the learning day and increase opportunities for low-income children.
- Currently recruiting 10,000 scientists, engineers, technologists and STEM
enthusiasts to lead 12-week hands-on apprenticeship courses
- Volunteers receive up-front training, weekly lesson-plan support, and work
with a group of 15 students for 90 minutes each week, with a trained staff
member to support you at one of Citizen Schools’ Boston area schools.
- Citizen Schools has a whole library of curriculum for you to choose from,
or they’d work with you to design your own
- Examples include robotics, documentary filmmaking, architecture etc.
