- Institute committees are not only a critical channel for involving graduate
students in Institute operations, but also a great way to take an active role
in learning about MIT and representing the graduate community.
- Serving on an Institute Committee as a graduate student enables you
to significantly impact important decisions made by the Institute.
- You will serve as a voting member of a committee which advises faculty
and administration, and ultimately reports to President Susan Hockfield.

- GSC's Legislative Action Subcommittee will have their committee meeting
next Thursday the 7th at 6pm in 50-220
- The purpose of the subcommittee is to…
- Act as the representative body to local, state, and federal governments
- To maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory developments
affecting graduate students and disseminate information through the GSC
- And to encourage graduate student participation and activism
