What:     Muddy Charles Board of Governors Meeting

The Muddy Charles Pub is seeking graduate students to join its Board 
of Governors. Various leadership positions are available for graduate
students committed to making the Pub an even bigger success. Time  
commitment ranges from 2-10 hours/ month on average.

Please join us at our next meeting and learn more about the positions
available.

What:     Dissertation Boot Camp 
Where:    July 13 to 16, 9am-6pm

The Dissertation Boot Camp is offered for students who would like 
additional support while writing their dissertation. By offerering 
an environment for focused writing time and with help of the MIT Writing 
and Communication Center staff, besides regular exercise breaks conducted 
by the MIT Center for Health Promotion and Wellness, the camp intends 
to build up healthy writing habits that students will then continue on 
their own.  The daily schedule, all activities included, runs from 
9am to 6pm, from Monday July 13 to Thursday July 16, in room 3-370. 
The registration fee to attend the bootcamp is $25. An additional 
caution check of $50 is required from all participants. Please contact 
Clarice Aiello and Ulric Ferner, ARC chairs, at gsc-arc at mit.edu by July 
6th if you are interested in taking part in the program. Participation 
is capped at 15 students, and priority is given to students in the 
middle-to-final stages of the dissertation writing process.

Interested in designing a logo for GSC Orientation 2009?  
The winning logo will appear on all of this year's orientation 
t-shirts and posters.  If  your logo is selected, you will get 
a $100 gift card to the Cambridgeside Galleria and your name 
will appear in the Graduate Student Newsletter.  Please send 
your logo in JPG or EPS form to gsc-oc at mit.edu along with your name, 
course number, and a brief description of your logo.  
Please make sure the graphic is large enough for t-shirt printing!
