*Join the '08 Orientation organizing team as a coordinator or
volunteer!*
What to help new students get orientated to MIT?
Want to meet the fresh faces to MIT at the first time?
GSC Orientation Committee is now looking for coordinators and
volunteers for the fun events that you have and have never
experienced before!
*The event in need of the responsibility of coordinators are:*
Aug.26&27 Information Booth
Find volunteers to make shift, send out goodie bags and tickets.
*The events in need of volunteers are:*
(The duties of volunteers mainly include ticket selling, facility
arrangement and event checking in)
Aug.25 Grad School 101 / 102: Introduction to MIT facilities and
services.
Aug.26&27 Information Booth: Send out goodie bags and tickets.
Aug.26&28 Campus Walking Tour: Introduce the history, buildings and
stories of MIT
Aug.28 Graduate Welcome Address: Welcome from our President

*GSC's Athletic & Performance Activities Grant accepting applications*
Summary
Period covered: Jul 1 - Sep 30, 2008
Application deadline: Jun 26, 2008
The purpose of the Athletic/Performance-Activities Grant is to
support graduate students who pursue a non-research/non-academic
activity at competitive levels. The grant is designed to support MIT
graduate students who take part in competitions/concerts/events
throughout the year, both nationally and internationally.
The grant can cover fees and expenses such as registration,
accommodation, travel (air, car rental, gas, tolls, parking, public
transportation) and equipment shipment if needed.
For competitions/concerts/events happening between Jul 1 and Sep 30
of 2008, fill out the application found at:

and email it to gsc-grant at mit.edu
