*GSC RECRUITMENT*

A Special GCM will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 5:30pm in the GSC
Office (50-220, Walker Memorial).  Food will be provided at 5pm.

This GCM is to hold elections to fill the positions of GSC Secretary
and GSC Treasurer.  Nominations for these positions are now open.  Please
send nominations to gsc-vice-president at mit.edu.

Elections for the GSN Editor positions will take place in the GSC Office
tonight (Tuesday April 11) at 7pm.

The positions of Career Fair Directors (2 position) are still open.
Interested parties please contact Erik and Carrie at gsc-arc at mit.edu.

*GRADUATE ALUMNI CONVOCATION AND REUNION*

Hundreds of MIT graduate alumni (alumni with a masters or doctoral level
degree from MIT) will be returning to campus this April 21st and 22nd for
the Graduate Alumni Convocation and Reunion. This event will bring together
MIT graduate alumni and members of the MIT community for a celebration and
exploration of the myriad ways the institute and its alumni impact the
world as leaders and innovators.

There are only about 45 slots available for current graduate students.
The price for current MIT graduate student is only $40 and includes the 
entire weekend of programs and receptions/meals.

The weekend will include:
    * a Student/Alumni Reception;
    * more than twenty events in academic departments and centers;
    * remarks from President Susan Hockfield and Dean for Graduate Students
      Isaac Colbert;
    * panel presentations about inter-disciplinary research being conducted
      at MIT,
    * a keynote lunch with Pawan Sinha EE'92, whose research is changing
      the way we understand vision and cognition for blind and autistic people;
    * breakout sessions featuring MIT graduate alumni;
    * a closing reception hosted by Chancellor Phillip Clay CP '75

Wellness Week is THIS WEEK!!
(Starting Monday, April 10-Saturday, April 15th)

We've got morning, afternoon, and evening events designed to help you 
*destress*, *stay active*, and *eat healthy* going on ALL WEEK!!
(Over 20  events!)

The "Doctors to the Dormitories" event will be going to Sidney Pacific on 
Tuesday, April 11th at 6pm!  Because of Sid Pac's contribution, we will 
have 3 veggie/fruit plates there for the Sid Pac residents to munch on.

Tuesday will consist of Dr. Alan Siegel (Chief of Mental Health), Dr.
Kristine Girard (assistant chief of Mental health), and Dr. Desjardins
(Assistant Dean, Student Support Services)
