Dear Graduate Students,

Since its inception in October 2004, the Student Advisory Board to MIT's
16th President has been working hard to gather the opinions of the
student body regarding all aspects of the MIT experience (through open
forum events, online feedback and internal discussions) and convey them
to President Hockfield. The group will soon begin the process of
compiling a single final document to present to the entire MIT community
in mid-March. In order to ensure that all students have a final
opportunity to voice their opinions before this process begins, the
Board will be holding a series of three open forum events today and
tomorrow, to which all interested students are invited to attend:

* Today, Wednesday 2/16 @ 9pm:  Sidney-Pacific Multi-Purpose Room
* Tomorrow, Thursday 2/17 @ 12noon:  EECS Chu Lounge (38-201)
* Tomorrow, Thursday 2/17 @ 8:30pm:  Ashdown Hulsizer Room

The Board will make a sincere effort to relate the sentiments expressed
at these forums to President Hockfield in its final document. You can
read the preliminary briefing reports that the Board has already
presented to President Hockfield by visiting
http:/gsc.mit.edu/MITpresident. If you would like to convey your
opinions to the Board, but are unable to attend any of these forums,
please use the online feedback form at the same website.

Thanks to Sidney-Pacific, the EECS Grad. Students Association, and
Ashdown House for helping to organize these events.

Sincerely,

Barun Singh
Student Advisory Board Co-Chair /
Graduate Student Council President
