Orientation opens up to all Graduate Students

Orientation continues this weekend with the Hiking trip, Wrentham Outlets 
outing, an off-campus BBQ, and the Boston Harbor cruise.
All ticketed events are still available and are now open to the MIT 
Graduate Community. Students can purchase tickets at the GSC office 50-220 
(Walker Memorial Bldg.) starting at 9:30 am.
Graduate students are entitled to purchase one student ticket and one guest 
ticket.

SP Prudential Skywalk Ice-cream Redemption
JP Licks issues ice-cream certificates apologizing inconvenience caused.

The Sidney & Pacific Graduate Community, co-sponsored by the GSC 
Orientation Committee, hosted the Prudential Skywalk tour on August 
31.  Unfortunately on the night of the event, JP Licks was unable to honor 
the pre-arranged agreement, citing technical difficulties with their newly 
installed cash registers.
For students who were unable to redeem their $2 discount at JP Licks, you 
may turn in your uncollected ticket at the SP front desk (NW86) to pick up 
your ice-cream certificate.  There is a limited amount of certificates 
available so please redeem your tickets as soon as possible.

September General Council Meeting

GSC will be holding its first General Council Meeting of the Fall Semester 
on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 5:30.
Come see what the GSC is all about and what we plan to do over the upcoming 
academic year!

Funding Board Deadline

The Deadline for applications from graduate student groups to receive 
funding from the GSC during the Fall 2004 funding period (Sept. 15 to Dec. 
15) is Friday, September 3 at 12 noon.
