Graduate Student Life Grants
In the Graduate Students Office, the evolving framework for thinking about
graduate student life focuses on community as one aspect of MIT's
educational triad (academics, research, and community). Using funds from
the student life fee, the GSO continues to explore what community means
through the Graduate Student Life Grant process. See the grant roll call
and the grant showcase for details about current projects.
Each grant project provides a unique context for community experiences,
whether running a marathon, rubbing elbows with colleagues at the Muddy
Charles Pub, engaging in a dialogue on diversity, or showcasing one's
research. Taken as a whole, these programs and activities help us to
understand what today's graduate student wants and expects from the
graduate experience.

The deadline for the fourth round of proposals is October 13, 2004.
