[Glass-mit] 2021 MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch invitation

Hello all,
Finally, after much waiting-and-seeing and seeking of clarification, I am
happy to announce that there WILL be a 2021 MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch.
Attached is the invitation.
This year's sale is really special for a few reasons. First and foremost,
it's special because we get to have an in-person sale again for the first
time in two years! It's also special because since we could not teach
students over the last year, a small group of our most talented senior
instructors were able to focus much of their energy on creating an amazing
collection of pumpkins, including old and new designs as well as a special
edition of MIT pumpkins (see below), each with a mini-MIT glass logo fused
to the surface. This is the best batch ever!
Lastly, after the success of last year's online sale, we decided to make
this year's event a hybrid - half online, half in-person. This enables
people who do not live in the Boston area to buy pumpkins too.

The sale will be run much as before, with a few safety-related
modifications:
- *All customers will be strongly encouraged to wear a mask when inside the
sale perimeter.* It can get crowded on Kresge Oval, and we want everyone to
stay safe.
- We will ask customers waiting in line to maintain more distance than in
previous years. Again, this is about keeping people safe.
- Customers who are not part of the MIT *COVID Pass *system will be
permitted to shop without restriction. Restrooms in W20, the Stratton
Student Center, will be open to the public during the sale.
