*ABOUT*
*JENNIFER BROWN*
Jennifer Brown is the Collection Manager for the Ware Collection of
Blaschka Glass Models of Plants at Harvard University, better known as the
Glass Flowers. After receiving a BFA in interrelated media from the
Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2003, Jenny moved to New York
City where she started her career in the fashion industry. She was later
hired as a studio assistant for the renowned glass artist Toots Zynsky
Maintaining Zynsky’s digital and physical archives inspired Jenny to pursue
a master’s degree in library and information science at the Pratt
Institute. During graduate school, she interned in the research libraries
of the American Museum of Natural History and The Metropolitan Museum of
Art and created an inventory of artworks and archival materials for
abstract painter Doug Ohlson's estate. Jenny became the collection manager
for the Glass Flowers in 2012 and she has worked on many exciting projects
since then, which include co-authoring Glass Flowers: Marvels of Art and
Science at Harvard, completing the most extensive exhibit renovation in the
collection’s history, and co-curating special exhibitions within the Glass
Flowers gallery.
*ABOUT*
*DEBORA MOORE*
As an artist, Debora exemplifies the delicate fragility of the natural
world through sculptural interpretation. Her work with Orchids and other
botanical studies displays a fascination with their intricate structure and
how they thrive in harmony with each other.
